Two arrested in campus package theft investigation

BLOOMINGTON – On December 5, 2025, Indiana University Police Department officers responded to Pi Kappa Phi, located at 1720 David Baker Ave, for a report of multiple packages stolen from the residence. Later that evening, officers were called to Zeta Tau Alpha, located at 1020 N. Eagleson Avenue, for another report of stolen packages. The thefts occurred between 5:30 and 6:15 p.m.
Officers immediately began investigating these incidents and were able to identify Abigail Danser (no IU affiliation) and Austin Forrest (no IU affiliation) as suspects. Both were interviewed and admitted to stealing more than 75 items from campus residences. On December 8, both suspects were arrested for felony burglary and theft and misdemeanor theft and were transported to the Monroe County Justice Building.
